Soft, breathable postpartum pads made with a certified organic cotton cover. Natracare maternity pads are extra long, wide and cushioned for the days after giving birth.

Whilst many conventional maternity pads are made with plastics, chemicals and synthetics, Natracare's pads are designed to look after your skin by only using plant-based materials. Because your sensitive skin deserves better than irritation post-birth.

FAQs

How many postartum pads will I need?

Postpartum bleeding, also known as lochia, can last from a few days to several weeks. This varies from person to person. At a minimum, we recommend having 1 pack of pads in your hospital bag and 2 packs of of pads at home. Or the equivalent to whichever birthing set-up is chosen, e.g. a home birth.

Bleeding will start off heavy and lessen over time. In the first couple of days after giving birth, pads may need to be changed every 1 or 2 hours, then every 3 or 4 hours over the next days. When the bleeding lessens switch to lower absorbency pads.

How to dispose of Natracare postpartum pads and packaging?

It's possible to compost Natracare maternity pads at home, we understand this isn't for everyone and not always possible. In that case, Natracare maternity pads should be disposed of with your regular waste.

The packaging is made from recycled cardboard and is widely recyclable.
